Re: Waiting for a Gen 2 GTS

As far as I am aware, they are honouring the gen 2 builds. Seems we just have to be patient. I don’t want gen 3 either. Very frustrating experience though.

Re: Waiting for a Gen 2 GTS

I think it depends on the dealership. I placed an order several years ago for a Macan and did the PEC. Then BMW threw a spanner in the works with an offer on the 540i I have now, which I couldn’t refuse. I cancelled the Macan order and didn’t get charged for the PEC, full refund received.

Re: Waiting for a Gen 2 GTS

Yes, I had my invite in November, just a couple on months after I ordered. I wouldn’t read too much into the PEC invite. I haven’t used the invite yet as I’m waiting for the point when the instructors go out in the car with you. I believe you get 2-3 years to use the invite.

Re: Waiting for a Gen 2 GTS

Not heard from my OPC for over 2 weeks, so no idea what’s going on. I get the impression they don’t know what’s happening either.

Re: New Owner

What I have come to learn on this forum, is that we all have very different opinions! Spec the car as you want, there is no right or wrong answer. Get to the dealership and see and test out as many of the options as you can.

Re: 75 Ltr Tank

I have used BP Ultimate for many years in my BMW's, getting better performance and mileage than the regular fuel. A couple of weeks ago, due to driver shortages, BP had no Ultimate on tap so I ventured up the road to Esso and put half a tank in of their premium stuff. Although the difference in RON ...

Re: 2022 Macan Build Dates

Conversely, the dealer offered me PCP at £8k deposit, £12k yearly PCP payments. So £44k over 3 years.

Re: 2022 Macan Build Dates

Very interesting way of looking at this! Thanks for sharing! I do understand this perspective and I get PCP in long term is not cost effective but you are right it is easier on cashflow. I took a view with the money upfront I dont have to pay in one go, I take that (theoretical) pot of money and in...

Re: Porsche Approved Repairer

Ah okay, I didn't know if they were 2 you had been told to choose from. Going by their websites, I would struggle to choose between them, but would hope they are better at car repairs than keeping their website up to date  Seems Porsche are pretty picky as they only list 14 bodyshops in the UK,...
