Re: 21" Winter tyres for sale (off our Macan)

They are marked "V XL" - so probably not n-rated. Looking at previous response, that might be why it was a limited choice of tyres. The Porsche approved "N-" symbol is shown separately on the sidewall. Capture.PNG V XL - Those are the speed and "extra load" load rating...

Re: Macan S or GTS

I too am of average build. I had the standard 8-way seats in my SD as I preferred the Alcantara centre panels. Those seats were amazingly comfortable, especially on 200+ mile trips. On my new GTS I again went for the 8-way for the same reason. In the GTS these are sport seats with bigger bolsters an...

Re: Fuel for GTS (2021)

Having spent a large wedge on my new GTS I'm not risking using inferior fuel. So it's Shell V-Power only. Filled up today @ 123.9 p per litre.

So far averaging 25.8 mpg over the first 5.5 months.

Re: Winter tyres

A lot depends on your usage and where you live. Winter tyres work best at temperatures of 7C or lower. Is your area in that range for most of the winter months? Biggest issue is the other traffic still on summer tyres in snowy / icy road conditions. Either them sliding into you or you getting stuck ...

Re: Macan diesel still a good buy?

They are great cars with a great engine. Fast and relatively frugal. Comfortable, refind and great quality. Superb handling for an SUV too. The optional extras on a Porsche are extensive. So try and have a must have plus desirable list. Parts and servicing are relatively expensive. An official Porsc...

Re: Tyre life and replacement

Yes, the lack of an N rating only dawned on me after posting, a shame as they're rated as quieter and more fuel efficient. Porsche probably just want to keep selling winter sets or am I just being cynical? Motorways have probably only accounted for 3 of those 13k miles and while I didn't specify th...
