Hi guys, just saying hello as a new member.

Actually got our Macan in December and was trawling these forums for pre-purchase information. A very useful resource!

Finally got around to registering and, after a few forum activation issues, here I am.

Was originally looking for an older Macan S, 2014 or something, then for spec reasons talked ourselves up to a turbo. After hunting for the right extras/colour for quite a while, took a step further and ended up with a 2018 Macan Turbo Exclusive Performance Edition in blue. One look at the photos and we fell in love with it and couldn't really walk away.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the model, it's best described here - https://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/porsche ... e-edition/

The first owner took one of these and added quite a few extras, so we're really happy with the spec. The only thing that was missing was the electric towbar, so we got the dealer to fit that since. 12k miles on it when we got it, now done nearly 17k.

Photo below of when we picked it up from the dealer.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys, cheers!

Welcome to the forum.

Wow, that's a big step between a 2014 S and a 2018 Turbo PP  . Car looks great though, enjoy.

Yeah, quite the jump indeed. Keyless entry was the biggest factor - once you make that a necessity, you rule out nearly all the used cars on sale. Then you look at a few more extras and you realise that the turbo costs maybe 15k new but comes with 15k of extras so the power upgrade is almost free.

Once you add in the cost of getting a warranty on the older car and the gap closes further.

i somehow sold all this to the wife anyway, which was all the counted

I knew there was something else we hadn't got, but I couldn't remember what.

I did a crazy thread counting all the buttons and switches on twitter here:

Not sure we'll be selling soon...
