Hi all, .. I've ordered my very first ever Porsche (and one of the very few, but definitely most expensive cars) without a test drive.

After a lot of deliberation over "S" versus "GTS" , I went for an S with lots of extras; I have been given a build date of end of March so I am pretty excited, ... and having spent (far too much) time on Macan owner forums, here and PCGB, .. I'm now worried about offset pedals, transfer gearbox, leaking sunroofs, choosing 21" wheels and whether I should have allowed another small fortune to have it ceramic coated. :D :D :D :D :D

I will probably be on here being a PITA from April on ... :D

I guess you are coming from a BMW 430D? I came from a 435D and no regrets at all.

Offset pedals - Never noticed any problem
Transfer gearbox - Repaired under warranty, why worry!
Leaking sunroofs - It happens, I don't have one.
Choosing 21" wheels - If you have PASM the ride quality will be fine. Much better than a 430D with Adaptive on 19s
Ceramic coated - yes, do it!
2017 Macan S D, 21" Classics, PASAM, Black Exhausts, Heated seats / Steering Wheel, Nav, Park Assist.

Welcome to the forum. If you let us loose on your spec we can help you spend a small fortune before you worry about ceramic coating

Don't worry about the transfer box, it comes with a seven year warranty these days.

Welcome, it's an excellent car, costing you a fair amount more than my S but NO quicker for it! My main comment is that you will be amazed how many Volcano Grey Macans there are. I know three guys with them, but only found out AFTER ordering mine ☹ in some ways I wish I'd gone for Mamba Green. Next one will be a Red GTS with black details, just as soon as I scrape together the necessary brownie points 😉
