Hi All
Looking to pull the trigger on a secondhand 2019 Macan S with 20,000 km on the clock. Its a private sale so would appretiate any advice what to look out for ? Its still under Porsche warranty so more worried about consumables. When are tyres and brakes/ pads usually replaced ?

If you have the time there are threads covering all those questions, however, there is no single answer! Tyres can last from 13,500 miles (as did mine, replaced with Mitchelin Lat 3 for £485 in Feb by Tyres on the Drive) to 30,000 miles, all depends on the roads travelled and the style of driving. Similarly an oil change (£420ish) can be required (the dashboard display will tell you when it's due and so give a clue as to how it's been run) at 3,500m or 15,000m (mine). Brake pads/disks are a bridge I have yet to cross but I'm sure a search will find a variety of answers! The warranty is reassuring and the driving experience will be well worth any money spent on "consumables", petrol included!

The fact that you quote the car's usage in kilometres implies a European purchase. The car will require a first service at two years or 30,000 km. I'd suggest contacting a Porsche dealer close to where you live to get a cost estimate. As Neil has said tyres and brakes have variable lives depending on how the car has been driven. My SD still had the original brake pads and discs at five years and nearly 70,000 km.

Thanks for the answers. The car is actually in Australia and Porsche Australia requires the car to be serviced once a year to maintain the warranty. I know I’ll have to get it serviced and allready got a qoute for a “ standard service” but tyres and brakes are usually excluded.

I can concur with Peter, my SD's tyres were replaced at over 30,000 mls. And still has the original discs and pads, at nearly 40,000 mls. But it has been driven for over half the mileage on motorways.
