I am also new to this forum and have also just put my order in for what is currently an Oct Build

My only query / consideration was the PASM option. Its currently off the options due to the parts and the tragic floods in Germany causing it to be removed from the configurator. I was tempted to delay but after discussion with a couple of dealers decided to plough forward with the order as it stands

Clark
PASM is standard on the S and GTS, so it will be interesting to see if that pushes the delivery back a bit for those of us expecting an October build.
Any car with air suspension and PASM will be significantly delayed.

Regards BOSE i can honestly say the standard stereo is very good and I've had BOSE in a lot of my cars and don't think it's worthwhile on the Macan.
The standard stereo on an Audi on the other hand is horrific.

^^^ I agree that the GTS is the way to go, if you can live with the new front and rear treatment.

Personally I would not bother with the spare wheel [where are you going to put the dirty 21" alloy if you get a puncture?], just use Porsche Assist [AA] if on the rare occassion you get a puncture. Dimming mirrors are not needed as the car sits high up and you've got the privacy glass option to remove any dazzle. GT wheel is a personal style thing, but the std wheel with the sports chrono dial looks great. Total saving £880. I would add Speed LimiT Inicator at £180 as these cars are rapid!

Great to become a member of this forum! Ive just put my deposit on my first ever Porsche which is due to be built in October, but I am awaiting the build date from my dealer...

I haven't gone mad on the extras as I soon found out they add up very quickly

Here's the build http://www.porsche-code.com/PNLZ3731

Is there anything you would/add or remove from this? I understand its all personal taste but this is a new experience for me and would like any advice.

One thing I am unsure on is the BOSE upgrade. My X6 has the Harmon Kardon system which is very good but I am unsure on what the standard ones are like in the Porsche and whether to save the additional £800 upgrade? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dave
Given the rest of the car is dark would the PSE not be better in black

You also know that the agate grey interior is more brown than grey right?

Cheers for that.

I would have gone for the GTS but don't think I can stretch to that at the minute. It's that scenario of at what point do we say "that's enough" to spend! (well the Mrs does  )

Having seen some of the thoughts on the performance exhaust humming on the motorway, I think I may even drop that option......

Hi

Yes - would look better in black but I am on the fence about the exhaust now given that a few have said it drones on the motorway - I wouldn't like that whilst cruising at 80

As for the colour, no we wasn't aware of the brown colour as opposed to grey. May need to revisit that then.

Can’t say I’ve particularly noticed a drone with the exhaust

We had the agate on Mrs 981 and it was nice but not grey!
