no pictures?
Will do a separate post when I’ve finished ceramic coating :D :D

Turbo is an absolute blast. The build quality is another level compared to my previous car. Best car I’ve ever owned, just one day in!

At the risk of starting this all over yet again, sales execs will tell you what you want to hear. Try having a little read of the manual produced by the manufacturer, the section on running in your new vehicle.

RTFM is always good advice but rarely followed these days. Fortunately, modern traffic conditions make driving around near the rev limiter a "non habit forming" experience.

Respecting the 4,000rev/m limit suggested for running in and waiting until the engine (particularly the oil) is fully warmed up before using larger throttle openings is not arduous in a 400+hp machine. It's just showing a bit of respect for the car.

Not sure I'd follow that advise - maybe ok for a demo but not for your own car.

Manual gives the advice

I just can't understand why a Porsche sales person would make such statements. These are very expensive cars and there is a break in procedure to protect the most expensive component. There is an article somewhere on the internet by a Porsche engineer that sets out to explain what it is necessary for parts in a high tolerance engine to bed in and for heat generation to be kept low during this period. I think BMW M engines used to have a specially thin oil for breaking in that had to be changed after X miles and which sounds like a god idea to me.

Yes they did as do Lotus and they check that you haven't over-revved it too at that service

another benefit of PCP; rag it then let someone else worry about it when the engine eventually drops out

Not the attitude we expect from fellow Porsche owners! Which poor sod has your old Aston now, or did that end up in a hedge?

I was never aware of any standards Porsche drivers were supposed to adhere to.
