New Member - Upgrading from S4 Avant
Yes, so true, I was on the lookout for a used car that ticked my boxes for a year or more but never saw one and in the end it seemed less painful, but not a lot more expensive to order a new one, no regrets here, although as you can see on many threads the purchase "journey" is not necessarily smooth, alas.

Any GTS from any generation will have more standard features than an S plus the main point is any GTS with any Porsche model is the sweet handling version with lowered and tuned suspension.
Older Macan GTS cars have uprated engine and gearbox components compared to an S so it it not just an engine tune.
GTS style is unique to the range as well.
To be on the safe side look for a used model with 18 way seats and extras that matter, the wheels that were standard are perfect for the GTS look. The most useful extras on a GTS imo are ACC and Surround Cam.

Pretty sure they look more or less identical, apart from the badge and some slight changes to the grille. The GTS is is lower, which seems a bit counter-intuitive on a 4x4. The Gen 3 S has more BHP, more Torque and faster 0-60 than the Gen 2 GTS, so…….Col Lamb wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 12:08 pm Any GTS from any generation will have more standard features than an S plus the main point is any GTS with any Porsche model is the sweet handling version with lowered and tuned suspension.

Porsche's power statistics are identical for the Gen 2 GTS and the Gen 3 S - 380 hp and 520 NM.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:11 pm Pretty sure they look more or less identical, apart from the badge and some slight changes to the grille. As to 0-62mph it's 4.9 vs 4.8 or 4.7 vs 4.6 with Sport Chrono.
The lower suspension and other tweaks result in better handling for the GTS.

2022 MY S has tweaks to the suspension and the chassis, so I still think the jury is out on the 2022 S v's 2019 GTS. Either way, its pretty damn close.SAC1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:07 pmPorsche's power statistics are identical for the Gen 2 GTS and the Gen 3 S - 380 hp and 520 NM.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:11 pm Pretty sure they look more or less identical, apart from the badge and some slight changes to the grille. There was a time on this forum when some claimed 20 was the perfect wheel size for a Macan and certainly my preference over 21. So if I was looking for a fresh vehicle 2020/21 GTS or 2022 S is definitely my preference over 2022 GTS. Given free choice, I might go for 2019/2021 Turbo with 20 wheels and air but not many of those around especially as I would want surround view and ACC as well. In the meantime time very happy with 2019 S with 20 wheels air, 18 way seats Acc and surround-view and not feeling any need to change.OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 4:15 pm2022 MY S has tweaks to the suspension and the chassis, so I still think the jury is out on the 2022 S v's 2019 GTS. There must be some reason Porsche offering S higher Suspension as no-cost option on 2022 GTS, maybe they feel some will not like the ride of lower suspension and 21 wheels
