New member saying Hi and help!!!
Just checked with Mid Sussex and they have confirmed they do not offer wheel and tyre protection, sadly.
You've just bothered them on their busiest day for something they would know doubt have tried to flog you nearer the time of the car actually arriving anyway !OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:21 pm Just checked with Mid Sussex and they have confirmed they do not offer wheel and tyre protection, sadly.

Me too. Both of my 911s have had Porsche Sports Exhaust. I’m a child at heart too, and love the burbles & crackles from the PSE. I have my 911 T in Sport mode nearly all of the time, as I also love the auto-blip of the throttle on down changes.
I agree that on a cold morning start up, a car without PSE will sound just as noisy as a car with PSE, regarding potentially annoying the neighbours.

Just a random thought, but I wonder, if by being in Sport most of the time, am I getting the car to work harder in cooling the oil. I wonder this, as I’m told that the heat exchanger for the oil cooler needs replacing on my 911 T, being the cause of the coolant leak. I notice that the oil temperature runs quite a bit lower in Sport mode, compared to Normal mode. Maybe being in Sport mode for most of 35,000+ miles has worn out that part?!

Had the extra cost chrome exhaust tips on my SD, to set off better against the Rhodium silver paintwork, and they were as good as new at 3yrs old.Sweetmeister wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 11:55 am So you are paying £500 to have black or polished chrome instead of brushed? Why would you pay £500 for that, especially as people seem to say they don’t last long and fall off. Think I’ll spend the money elsewhere or should I go for the PSE???
My GTS came as tandard with the black crome finish plus PSE and 16 months on still look brand new.

Pretty sure that’s what they are paid to do. Poor souls, being asked a sales question by a client when they are at work. What ever next? Hopefully it’s not too much trouble for them.Tracky wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:27 pmYou've just bothered them on their busiest day for something they would know doubt have tried to flog you nearer the time of the car actually arriving anyway !OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:21 pm Just checked with Mid Sussex and they have confirmed they do not offer wheel and tyre protection, sadly.

I would like the PSE but to be honest I’m struggling to justify the £1700 for some pops and bangs. On a 911 then defo but on a SUV not as vital for me.
Is it still worth having the sports chrono without the PSE? They don’t work better together so to speak?
