My only concern is theft of such a nice car having had the 435 nicked off the drive whilst on holiday. I'm hoping the toerags of this world are more interested in the sports car end of the range rather than the shopping trollies.

In 1965, I ran into the back of one of them when it failed to move off at a set of traffic lights and I was too busy chatting to the pretty girl in the back of my car to notice. A modern safety system would have saved my embarrassment.

Welcome to the forum. I'd support all those who say running boards are more trouble than they're worth. I can understand them on a Ford F150 or Dodge Ram but you don't step up into a Macan.

If you're worried about security, make sure you don't tick comfort entry/exit.

Lovely S spec you have there. You'll find that lots here will help you spend more money! But we all have our own preferences and the only thing I would suggest is ditching the running boards which are ugly and get in the way of getting out of the car and putting the money towards 14-way comfort seats with memory. After all, for me, seats are the most important aspect of the car, it's where you spend all your time when driving! And the memory function brings some useful benefits too. I'd suggest you try 14-ways in a demonstrator car.

Incidentally, I have owned over 40 cars, rarely having two at the same time, and even more rarely keeping for more than 3 years. It's an addiction that's hard to explain.. Why did you choose the Macan out of interest?
