The power/performance thing is interesting. One of my previous cars had a 4.7v8 engine with 420 bhp and weighed 1600kg. The Macan S i have on order has a 2.9v6, weighs nearly 2000kg and only has 375 bhp, and yet the (quoted) 0-60 time is exactly the same. Go figure. ( top end is slower though, by nearly 20mph)
I am not complaining about the performance. The quoted 0-60 times for both the RS6 and the Macan Turbo are similar (within 0.1 seconds) but I'm not one for traffic light grands prix. The Audi, in most circumstances would undoubtedly be faster; however, that is not an issue for me, at least... just an observation. I will say that the Porsche is deceptive in its performance... to me, it is faster than it feels and, as a bonus, it is, in the 150 or so miles I've done, much more economical... in general driving ~17mpg for the Audi v ~23mpg for the Macan...
Welcome along and nice choice on motor.
Take it your RS hadn't been to MRC for a map then?
Not that I am aware of :D but it was Misano Red :)

I liked it too. It felt special - it was like a factory hot rod! But it was very expensive to run... new disks and pads close to £3K, DRC pipe replacement all round, new suspension bushing all round during my ownership. Great car, we won't see the like again... which is why I had it... the same reason I bough the GR Yaris...

Misano is THE best colour if it had black optics too.

Well done. When I was placing my order I was sat at the table next to it and whilst the salesman was doing the usual faffing around for 10 mins went and sat in it. I thought it was brand new! Only when I got out and walked around it did I see the price and year. I thought, if mine was as tight after 4 years I will be very happy.
