Hi Guys

I'm still living the dream with my E-Hybrid Panamera after selling my Macan a couple of years ago, so I thought I'd drop in and see what was what. It's good to see there is still the odd name I recognise, mostly new ones though, but I guess we all do this if we move off a Macan at some point?

Anyway, the next couple of years will be interesting to see what Porsche turns out, and if it will be able to compete with some of the pretty quick EVs that are continuing to hit the market. Porsche used to be the quick manufacturer, but these new EVs are not exactly slow, and some are pretty good looking also.

I do wonder if Porsche is going to suffer from a "value for money" issue in the future though, the cars are getting more expensive all the time, but the competition is also getting better, and they don't charge anything like Porsche for the toys.

I will still be keeping the Panamera for another couple of years, I've done so little mileage since I got it due to lockdown, and I still can't say there is actually another car out there I would rather have at this point. My old bones are not getting younger though, so perhaps by that time I'll either be off the brand or back to a new Macan, but it would have to be a good bit different, the car is really showing it's age and is still pretty similar to when it was launched around 7 years ago.

Take it easy guys.

I'm no longer worried about how long a model has been in production. As they say, class is permanent. If a Panamera does what you want then go for it. Over the last ten years or so it will have been refined to the nth degree.

The newer version of the Panamera is much different to the original. The Panamera above (and the 2017 Panamera that I bought new) is a newer car than the first version of the Macan. ;)

The 2010 original Panamera and my 2017 model, at a Macan Forum meet at Beaulieu!
