I reckon the deciding factor has got to be the joy you'll get driving that S instead of waiting 6, 9 or possibly more for a personalised new car. I've got an S registered 1 Sept 2019 (Gen 2 admittedly) but it's as good as new, tiny stone chips aside, after 25k miles.

Just configured S as close to my base model config but without sports exhaust, chrono and std 20" alloys as opposed to 21" rs alloys and price of S is only £1000 more than 2.0 litre base so certainly given me something to think about. 1st year RFL also the same at £1910
Gen 3 S has same power as previous Gen 2 GTS. Really excellent performance, would definitely go for new. Don’t need the SC, had it twice and never had the need to use it. Re wheels, had both, the 20” better ride than 21” and more forgiving. Also have PSE, admit I do use it if on A roads and on my own, that’s because I’m still a child at heart 🙄 but never use it on motorways. I think your changes are wise, if you can handle the wait go for the new S 👍

GTS is longer again, guess it’s supply and demand

According to my OPC, only 500 GTS’s are allocated for UK in 2022 and all are ordered. There is also a demand for at least expected Q1 and Q2 allocations for 2023 😳
