Vix wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 11:08 am A quick question on PASM and air suspension settings. I had an unaccompanied test drive yesterday and am unfamiliar with the air suspension settings.
As far as I was aware, PASM was off ie set to standard road and air suspension was set to low. On sweeping bends the ride seemed decidedly "floaty" and not in a good way. What settings do you use for standard road use? Many thanks.
The standard steel springs and PASM produce an extremely good ride. I reckon air suspension is unnecessary.
I've just checked and PASM without air does not seem to be an option.

It is for an S but not now for A GTS which now comes with air as standard

It's not an option because PASM is standard equipment. So you can have PASM and standard steel springs for free, or you can pay £1K to add air suspension.

Apart from GTS, PASM is standard and air is an additional option.

PASM is a £900 option on the base Macan.

Yep - still here - apologies with the mess up on the names but collect the Macan this Wednesday.
As is usual - for me - have not driven it but know it will be more than ok and I look forward to the 2.5 hour drive home to then get a feel for it.
I did exactly the same btw with my 718 gts. It’s a good drive to start to get used to it.
This was in no means an easy decision for me, I absolutely loved my 718 - sad sorry - it brought a smile to my face whatever the weather, roof up or down.
I will at some stage go back, I am sure but then at the moment looking forward to exploring my Macan and seeing just how good everyone says it then is.

I popped up to the Wolverhampton OPC today as they had a couple of Macans in stock in Papaya. It was good to seem them in the flesh. They had one outside in the sun and a GTS in the showroom. Both looked stunning. They also had a Crayon and a Gentian Blue. In the sun, the latter didn't look quite as dark as I had expected. The jury is still out but I think my order of preference is Papaya/Crayon/Gentian Blue. My wife would prefer the Gentian as it is a bit more stealthy. We'll see. I expect to finalise spec - apart from the colour! - by the end of the week and get a deposit paid.

Latest spec: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRKBXFS7 (Papaya and I have removed air and some of the black cosmetic items. I still need to work out the various leather options)

Wolverhampton OPC were extremely friendly and helpful given that I am unlikely to be buying the car from them. They also had a range of Porsche eye-candy which was a worth a visit in itself.
