A quick question on PASM and air suspension settings. I had an unaccompanied test drive yesterday and am unfamiliar with the air suspension settings.
As far as I was aware, PASM was off ie set to standard road and air suspension was set to low. On sweeping bends the ride seemed decidedly "floaty" and not in a good way. What settings do you use for standard road use? Many thanks.

Another data point for you. Also take a look at the USA Macan forum - I found pictures on there that were useful when I was trying to decide whether to take the gamble or not.
If I get any decent pictures of mine outside in the next couple of days I'll post them, meanwhile here it is in the garage. Shows the range of colours within Papaya quite well, and doesn't show the dirt!
It's a great choice (although I would have to say that wouldn't I?) and my OPC says they sell well. That does seem to be true if you follow what happens on the approved used list.

PS I also think it looks the best of the standard colours if I'm brave enough!

Please explain this “brave” comment to me. It comes up a lot, what bravery is involved in choosing a colour you like??Vix wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 11:09 amVix wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 10:47 amThanks for posting the pic. Agree about the wheels.andreas wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 6:52 pmI know everyone's different, but I couldn't happily pay £2K to have a bit of black paint added to the wheel rims. If you really want the black rims, get the standard wheels and have them painted - probably save £1.5K.Vix wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 6:36 pm This is my latest Porsche code, updated for the Macan S from standard and with Crayon.

It's taken me a bit over budget so I may shave off the black wheels and/or the extended leather.
Try to keep the extended leather, it really does feel good inside the cabin.
I like the single colour matt-ish dark titanium colour rims on the T, and in fact the Papaya Macan at Portsmouth last week, was a T with these rims, and it looked great.
I will keep the standard S wheels, and get them redone later on in a single colour satin/matt titanium finish instead, which will be what 500 quid tops to have done?

PASM is never ‘off’. It’s always working. In my car (911) the PASM is either in Normal or Sport mode. The least ‘floaty’ setting should be air suspension set to Low and PASM set to Sport.
P.S. Some folks just don’t get on the air suspension, regardless of setting/s selected.

One of my alloys got chipped and I took it to a specialist alloy wheel repair place. They acid-stripped it, repaired the chip, then powder-coated it to match the original colour perfectly, all for around £100.

The standard steel springs and PASM produce an extremely good ride. I reckon air suspension is unnecessary.Vix wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 11:08 am A quick question on PASM and air suspension settings. I had an unaccompanied test drive yesterday and am unfamiliar with the air suspension settings.

I know what you mean, Jon.
Some may say it’s ‘brave’ having a yellow 911 or a red Macan.
They either mean that we stand out from the monochrome crowd, or that we are ‘brave’ in terms of resale (yawn) where allegedly, the bulk of prospective buyers would prefer a ‘safe’ monochrome colour.
Same with BMW, Audi and Merc, where dealerships have endless rows of silver, grey, black and white cars outside. I pass a Merc dealership on my way to the gym, and right now they have a yellow Merc in the front row outside!

Yes, it’s not as if Papaya is particularly radical as colours go, there are so many versions of it out there on just about all manufacturers.

I've just checked and PASM without air does not seem to be an option - or is it standard?andreas wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 12:18 pmThe standard steel springs and PASM produce an extremely good ride.
