Help please: fuel cap isn't opening
Hi all, urgent request, does anyone know how to open a jammed fuel cap. Tried everything. Need to travel some 300 miles tonite and got only 100 miles left in the tank..
I couldn't locate the manual release anywhere. Any experience/ advice other than suggesting abandoning the car.

Have you removed the right side panel in the boot? The emergency release button is in there, pulling it should release the filler flap.

Emergency unlocking of the filler flap
If the electrical unlocking mechanism is faulty, the filler flap can be opened as follows:
- Carefully remove the right luggage compartment trim panel.
- Pull the red emergency release button (
arrow).
The filler flap pops open.

There is an emergency release I believe under the trim in the boot, see the link above. Page 244 of the manual I have.

Have you found the emergency release? If so try pulling it while someone else prods the filler cap repeatedly.

Yes, it was under the right side boot rim. Very delicate to pull, thin cord (at least for me). Got the Porsche assist to follow me to nearest BP pump. Will take it to the Porsche garage during the week and get the panel replaced (suggested by the mechanic not to sit on it) as often even the emergency cord doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to reset this once the red button has been pulled?
