I think you have advice now on all the options, only thing left is to choose the colour, and there are more opinions than anything else on here about the best colour. Good luck, enjoy deciding on everything, and remember, this lot will add a minimum of £5k to your budget.

Thanks everyone for the vast amount of information!

It's great to see that so many are inspired enough to keep a forum this active, gives a bit of confidence in the driving experience itself.

Next step might be to listen to the sound system options then put together a trial spec. The 996 Bose is definitely a bit boomy so I need something better.

I'll reread all replies and get back on the configurator.

You are welcome Tim.

As I suggested prior, keep options open initially be visiting a few dealers and see which one works for you.

Ask the question about which OPC in the Essex region in a new thread.

I am lucky I have 5 within a 1 1/2 hour drive hence can easily shop around.

If one SE is dire, leave and then go back to get another SE to deal with you to see if it is a dealership wide problem.

Do the sound comparison test I gave prior, I listened to the sound system in a Cayman and found that it was not as good as my Bose but Iam unsure which system it was as I was only being shown the new PCM

Also if you ring around youmay get lucky with an earlier build slot, it can and does happen fairly frequently.

Btw, any deposit you place is fully refundable even if you have been to the PEC, deposit usually is £3k and some OPCs require the deposit to be increased to 10% on lockdown which is c6 weeks prior to build. Do note that not all OPCs require the deposit uplift

Collected last Wednesday and i'm totally happy!

Very quiet on air which makes the Burmester easy to appreciate. Mostly been on motorway at lowest level so far.

Initial trials with a small SD card worked well so I've ordered a couple of bigger cards, Spotify through Bluetooth sounds good too.

The adaptive cruise is a delight as soon as there's much traffic, such as making the mistake of leaving Norwich when a home game had just finished.

The LED lights are great, especially going round corners.

Love the look of the front wheels with vast discs,

But mostly the Turbo PP performance is lovely; even when running in.

Off to the wrapper on 25th so i'll post a few photos when that's done.
