Here is a clip of our Turbo with PSE when warm with blips to 4,000 rpm. We too bought the car as approved used, but I think that I would spec the PSE if buying new. However not sure I would pay £2,500 for a retrofit, depends how long you wish to keep the car as well, to benefit from it.

(seems embedding a video clip here does not work for me)

Enjoy the car, it is lovely! :)

Those crackles do come in handy as a kind of discrete car horn.
Even at 5mph, lift of the throttle and you get a little crackle, warning pedestrians that you are coming.
:)
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR

Ha ha - I've seen that safety argument used to justify 'race cans' on motorcycles! It does help to warn cars that you are filtering past them in traffic!

That is a valid argument indeed! And it works! ;)

Nice! Thanks for sharing, Semerka. 👍 Makes me even more tempted to retro-fit PSE on my Panamera 4. Shame there's a delay and it can't be done until early 2018... :(

Ha ha! Left myself wide open for that one!!

The justification for looking at adding PSE is my three year plan with the Panamera...

(Would have specced it when new, but wasn't available)

Thanks for all the advice

I think I will pass on the sports exhaust and put the £2500 in the piggy bank towards the next car...

As predicted, Sheffield OPC refused to replace the wheel centres and I have bought some for £20 off the net....

We debated PSE long and hard but it put a smile on Mrs P's face every time we accelerated hard with PSE on so we finally decided to add it, at £1700. Not sure I'd pay £2,500 to add it to a three year old car, unless you are planning to keep it forever.
