It's a pity you did not come on this site before placing your order. We could have spent a lot more of your money

Hi Martin and a warm welcome!

the quality is in a different league to a Jag....so much better.

I'm sure that you will just love it once your brain has adjusted to just how capable a Macan is on the road. ;) :o πŸ‘Œ

Welcome Martin

Sorry to hear your troubles with the Jag. Does sound like a real nightmare one.

The Macan is superb in many ways.
Not too long to wait but it will feel like ages. Do plenty of reading on this forum will pass the time nicely.

I have recently purchased a new Macan S Diesel from the new Porsche Teesside centre.

I am moving from a faulty, horrific 2016 Jaguar XF. Got rid after so many issues and have an ongoing case with trading standards.

Hope the Macan is better. The test drive was incredible and I just can't wait to pick the car up.
Expected delivery is end of September :D

Hi Martin, it's a funny thing about car brands, I have had 5 Jags over the years starting with the X Type, I had 3 XF,s and never had any real problems, I loved all 3, I've now had 3 Macan's and in all honesty I've had more problems with them than I ever had with my Jags but as has been said the Macan is a different league to Jag and it most certainly has not tainted my enjoyment of the Porsche brand, I have no doubt you will love the car it is a brilliant vehicle and I never get fed up driving it,

Well I've had a wonderful few phone calls from the Porsche centre past few days telling me that my Macan is coming even quicker!
Next few days is the new estimate (it's in the UK).

My spec is:
Macan S Diesel
Volcano Grey
Driver Memory Package
Porsche Sports Exhaust (loved the sound)

I think it's probably a good thing I wasn't on here before as I've spent a little too much already!

I've gone for diesel as the running costs and initial first year tax took the Petrol out of the picture.

My plan is that the second Macan would be a higher spec, possibly GTS. This one is literally to get away from Jag and into a better car.

Probably a poor man's Macan compared to most lol. But it's a Macan, and a Porsche!

No such thing as a brand new 'poor man's Porsche'. ;)

As you say, it's a Macan and therefore the best mid-size SUV on the market.

And it's a Porsche! :D

Roll on your collection in the next few days! πŸ‘

Exactly the reasons I went for the Macan.
I ideally need something that size and always want the best I can get.

Onto a winner I hope/think.

At the moment I'm driving round in a BMW 645i which is crippling me on fuel!

Welcome Martin.

All Macans are good cars, but it is a pity Porsche strip the base 2.0, S, and SD of practically everything so all the nice to have features are paid for extras.

How long do you plan on keeping the SD?

Plan on keeping the SD for max 4 years.

The base spec S is a million miles from anything I've ever had.
Wife would never drive the Jag but she loved the Macan, hence why we got the driver memory package. Will make it easier to "share".
