I believe this is correct but I would still "take it easy" for a while / 1000 miles. Not too difficult in a Porsche really.
New Turbo Performance Pack
yup, take it to 4000 rpm and then glance down at the speedo!
Just make sure the oil is up to temp before you do anything too silly.

Is a difficult one as never run in previous high performance cars and never had any issues. Has everyone on here followed the manual?
I have a short commute so can’t avoid short cold journeys a lot of time.

Many on here don't even know where their manual is, let alone read it. Often questions are posted that would have been answered by a quick glance at the manual.weemsy6147 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 8:34 pm Is a difficult one as never run in previous high performance cars and never had any issues. We have been through the running in/no running in arguments ad nauseam. The anti brigade are not engineers and will quickly accept the suggestion that they can thrash their cars from the start. The pro brigade are more likely to be engineers, and others, who understand the reasons for running in a new vehicle.
Let's not start the debate all over again, but the suggestion that you take the manufacture's advice as stated in the manual is a good one.

It's not just the engine that benefits from running in. Transmission, brakes and tyres will all give a longer life if sympathetically run in. Particularly worth doing if a private purchase Macan.

...and the longer you intend to keep the vehicle, the more important the 'running in' of components becomes.

If you are only keeping it for a year, or it is a company car, thrash it at all timesWing Commander wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 8:57 pm ...and the longer you intend to keep the vehicle, the more important the 'running in' of components becomes.
...in that case...rag the @rse off it from day one! Its under warranty for your life with the car (unless if course, you have any sympathy for the second owner)
