Welcome :D Great looking spec.

Like you, I wasn't really that keen on going to the PEC in Silverstone. Why travel so far "for a shot in a Porsche"? I forgot about for it for about a year or so and actually had my Macan before deciding to go. The first time I went down it took me 9 hours (M6 closed!) but it was still a great experience. Food is good too. This forum has a couple of reviews - worth a read. :D

I would never have thought of Graphite Blue for a Macan, but it does look good in that photo and is distinctive.

I hope the wait isn’t too painful. Lovely GTS it will be. 😃

That is a lovely looking colour. Look forward to seeing pictures of yours in the flesh.

Thanks for posting these Simon. I haven't seen the first picture before, but have seen the second and third. The third one was the one Cardiff sold I think. I took a few pictures of the Boxster, the colour looked different in each one of them. I know the colour won't appeal to everyone (what colour does really), and it can look quite flat in some lights, but I'm happy with the choice and hope I won't be disappointed when it arrives. Always a gamble buying anything without having seen the colour on the actual vehicle.

Thanks to Martin/Semerka, ScotMac and Goron for your good wishes. I'm lucky to have Christmas to look forward to, followed by delivery early in the New Year (I hope!).

I agree that I would enjoy the PEC day out ScotMac, but know I won't get there. I genuinely would prefer someone to enjoy the experience rather than it go to waste, so if anyone is interested, please let me know.

My wife and I are 3 1/2 hours from Silverstone. We drove up on a Sunday, stayed the night nearby then did the morning session at the PEC so we had the afternoon to head home. I’m self employed so it cost me a day’s pay to attend but still feel that it was very worthwhile. It’s not just an enjoyable experience, it’s an educational one. The instructors show you how to get the most out of the car, how to use it safely and help you to explore it’s limits in a safe environment. The PEC even has a skid pan so you learn how to handle trick6 conditions, some of which are counterintuitive in terms of the controls you use. My wife and I are considerably better in the car and feel much more comfortable driving it having had the PEC day. I can’t recommend it enough. Do reconsider it.

We’ve been to the PEC at silverstone twice and stayed overnight as it’s a 3 hour drive and it’s definitely worth it. Stayed in Towcester one time and a small village pub near the circuit the other time, not particularly expensive either time. We both enjoyed both times and made full use of the track facilities to thrash someone else’s Macan!

Apart from the fun factor, I also found PEC visit useful to check out some optional extras. Their cars are usually well specced, so perhaps worth a visit from that point of view too, before your lock down. :-)

I do not think that the invitation is transferable. It must be you as the primary person and you can take a guest and share the driving time.
Breakfast or lunch you don't have to share, you each get your own portions.
