Spec No1 selected and full day road test booked for next week in a carmine red GTS.

I'm very interested to see what this thing goes like, or should it be a petrol S, or should it be a Diesel S.

I wonder what the final spec and car will be?

Welcome aboard Dario.
If you want the best handling and sporty driving then a GTS on 21's.
The S is short by 20 horses, probably not noticeable in real world drving, and less sporty suspension, about £5k less for same spec as GTS.
The SD if your mileage requires.
All the above with all the options you want and can afford.
With my S I now hear the devil whispering to me " Is this all it's got?"
So get it right 1st time - a Turbo PP! Colour irrelevant.

I agree.

So that's a Macan Diesel with air suspension for effortless long distance cruising and general family duties...plus a supremely chuckable 6 cylinder Cayman with a manual gearbox for those roads where driving is fun.

If only it was that easy. As I say to myself quite often, 'should have, would have and could have'!

I also moved from BMW to a Porsche Macan GTS.
You will love it. The options list is huge and so the budget can quickly go out of the window! It's only money ... remember you can't take it with you
Make sure when you test drive you note the spec of the car you drive.

Or just ask the SE to print out the spec from their system - very handy to refer back to especially if you test out several different Macans with different specs over a few weeks

If it's a keeper and your last high end car figure out the practicalities and if they work buy a 911; that's what Spook and I have done (previously we both had Macan S's).

Forget the GTS is you want the best Macan.

By a country mile the best Macan is the Turbo PP, it has to be it has the same GTS suspension but 80 horses more.

I have a Turbo in which I added extras that I want, it has everything short of bling (PDK gearshift and SD mirrors is all the bling I added) and was £74.5k otr, see signature for what I included.

For daily driving a standard Turbo gives great performance and a superb ride far superior to Beamer M suspension and would be very hard to beat.

20" RS Spyders and metallic paint don't count as 'bling' then, Col? ;) Not to mention the red/black interior...
