Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone uses a car cover for their Porsche Macan. I currently park my car on the front drive (OSP) and was thinking of buying a cover because I don't use it on a daily basis. If anyone can make any recommendations for a good quality cover it would be greatly appreciated ;-) thx

My concern about a cover is that the car needs to be squeaky clean when putting on and off. Unless the car was being covered in sap or bird shit i wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't use a cover outside - the wind will flap it and inevitably cause some marks on the paintwork. I used to have a cotton tailored cover for my Ferrari, which was garaged, to keep dust off it.

An outdoor cover is a bad idea, don’t do it.

Better left uncovered but washed and waxed regularly.

The high quality cover I used on my Jag retained small amounts of debris in the soft inner lining that caused scratches in many areas. It was impossble to stop debris being blown under the edges of the cover which found their way everywhere. Plus fitting/removing on a tall car will not be easy. Don't waste your money.

Hi ashB, I thought about getting a cover for mine too. Its only natural to want your Macan to stay as pristine as possible. I think I asked on here and got the same advice as you, so decided not to.

I've used a good quality outdoor cover on another car on a temporary basis (ie for a few days when refurbing the garage) and that was ok. The straps and clips prevented it moving in the wind but it didn't prevent dust, leaves etc from settling under the cover, which partly defeats the purpose. Wouldn't use one long term.

I got the Macan treated with GTechniq crystal serum, which makes it very easy to keep it clean and shiny. If you haven't already done that, I'd recommend it.

As per above I would not get an outdoor cover. Ideally don’t park under trees if possible as that’s what will cause paint issues if not washed quickly enough.

The only time I would consider a cover would be for a garaged car that is not driven often. And a cover that fits like a glove 😏
