Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself and share my latest purchase with you.

My name is Roy.. I currently own a 911 and a Cayenne Sport 3.0L D (this is my wife's car)

I've owned the 991 (991.1 CS2) for two years now and absolutely love it to bits but I'm using it as my daily driver and during winter months it's a little, lets say, difficult to live with.
I can't afford to buy another performance type car along side the 911, so decided today to chop "Frank" in and get a used Macan Turbo.

I will say now. I'm not 100% happy losing the 911 and I'm sure when finances permit, I will be buying another one. However, it's something I really need to do,

Anyway. Here is my spec.. any comments.. please chip in. At the moment the car is on a holding deposit that is refundable. So any bad bits.. PLEASE don't be shy and shout up.

Macan Turbo - From dealer
April 2017 with 10k miles

Seat heating front
Speed limit indicator
Sport Chrono Package
Tinted LED tailgate with adaptive brake lights
TPM valve in black
18 inch collapsible spare wheel
21 inch 911 turbo design weels

I have to be honest and say I'm not sure what seat option there is inside, if anyone could input on this that would be good.

So, what does the above spec look like?

Cost at the dealer is £72,900. Of course, I've got that down a little but not by a big chunk..

Welcome, Roy! :)

That certainly looks like a fully loaded Turbo! I'd guess it's probably got 18-way sports seats, but I'm sure that the dealer will confirm. Are you trading in the 991.1 C2S against the Macan?

Hi Roy, what a spec, with PTV as well! Nothing missing I would consider essential, an expensive car new, good value now.
As for seats, almost certainly the 18 way due to the very full spec, you can tell by the higher side bolsters and controls on the side. If 14 way, flatter bolsters and two fewer switches. 18 way in photo.

Hi Roy, I also went from a 991S, loved it but it was becoming a garage queen as it wasn't suitable for my everyday use ( also hated it being dirtied 😏) That's a really strong spec you have there, with black leather, carbon interior and PTV I would say it definitely has 18way sport seats. Go for it you won't be disappointed, 24k in mine now coming up for 2 year old, drive it everyday and love the combination of performance and practicality.

Welcome to the forum Roy! 😃

That is a fully loaded Macan. Only performance exhaust is missing, but that is not an essential item. We too bought a used Turbo back in the summer which has PTV, not many people spec that. It’s handy for my boyfriend to demonstrate on hairpins and scaring me. 😆 Loadspace management feature is also very rare.

The addaptive sports seats are a standard equipment on a Turbo as per the Porsche configurator. Turbo comes with quite a bit of standard features.

Interested to know why the 911 is difficult to live with as a daily driver. I plan to do exactly that pretty soon

Had 2 seat coupe cars before as daily cars and never had an issue, is the 911 any different

Thanks and nice spec on the Macan

Welcome uktivo!

I have the same question - you say difficult to live with in winter. What makes you say that?

The Macan Turbo is an amazing car. A brilliant, high performance all-rounder that will change character at the push of a button. It will make you smile for lots of reasons. As has been said though, good as it is, it isn't a sports car. But then, the 911 isn't an SUV!
