Hi All,

Have to be honest, having been a BMW owner for the last 12 years (X6 last 6 years) getting a tad excited for delivery of the new GTS and wanted your views on Swissvax and its value .. appreciate your views ?

Welcome.

Please dont tell us that your Sales Guy has offered Swissvax for £600, or in fact for any cost at all! That is a popular offering by OPCs, a wax or sealant coat that probably costs the dealer a few quid in materials and £50 in labour.

Swissvax is great but like all wax finishes it is high maintenance.

For a stunning finish with minimal aftercare then a sealant coating is best.

+1. Get it done professionally. Search for “detailing” on the forum to get the gist.

Excellent. That’s almost (give or take 100 - 200) what you’d pay to get it done with GTecniq.

Welcome, Fitchyboy! :)

Very nice & stealthy Volcano GTS.

And yes, professional Gtechniq way better than OPC's Swissvax :geek:

Just to echo what’s already been said, my colleague got his GTS a year ago with dealer applied Swissvax. He was not impressed then and even less so a year down the line. I got mine last week and had it detailed with GTechnique. No comparison in my view.
The detailed works with Swissvax as well but was adamant that not only was GTechnique the way to go, but that no matter what you go for do not let the dealer apply it - get a professional.
