Personally I would not get hung up on running lights, it should be far more important to get a Macan that is comfortable and has the right extras included to give the best ride and handling.
Cheers, yeah I won't be rushing in to it, lots of research to do as yet.

And the 4 point dlrs do look cool. I’m all for getting the right driving dynamics and comfort, but aesthetics are important too. When you pull up behind a car and see the reflection of the drls or catch a glimpse of them in a shop window, the look great.

The bi-xenons on our car are great. I love the way they turn the beam with the steering wheel. Great on the twisties.

As you now know, you'll get the 4point drls with either xenons or leds. They were mportant to me because of their style and look, and as fitted to all recent generation Porsches. Zenons were fine for me on Macan no 1, but I added leds on Macan no2, overkill perhpaps but I like their Star Wars look. Avoid basic halogens at all costs.

I have spent several years trying to source a quality, reliable kit to upgrade the rather poor H7 halogens on my Cayman and have recently installed such a kit. So, if you happen to find yourself with a Macan with halogens then I can thoroughly recommend this upgrade from Philips which I have recently put in my 2014 Cayman 981. Technically not road legal outside of Japan(please let's not get into a debate), they are bright at 1760 lumen, have a sharp cut-off to avoid dazzle and are nice and white at around 6000K. Moreover, in the Cayman they do not throw any errors or flicker or interfere with electrics. There is a dedicated canceller kit from Philips available should errors occur, which I bought but have not yet had to fit. The kits are available from PowerBulbs with a 20% discount at the moment.

Good info, and good to hear first hand from someone who has actually successfully fitted them to a Porsche👍

Further info that may be useful - I swapped the Halogen foglights of our Macan with the fog version of these LED bulbs and they are also plug-and-play with no errors. Lovely match to LED headlights (again let's not get into a debate about which is best in fog!😉
