Couple of questions
How does the Drl work? On off and auto I have a dim bulb on in he headlight but on sidelights the drl come
On? Is this right?
Also I’m
Not sure if the lane departure works ? It lights up on the button panel but doesn’t do anything.

Welcome.

DLR on halogens will give you the slim strip under the main light cluster (with the switch set to auto)
If you have xenons, then you’ll get the trademark 4 spot illumination in each light.
Lane assist will “ croak” at you and vibrate a bit when you go over a white line without indicating - it won’t correct the steering as other brands might.

(and yes, agate interior looks brown to me too😉)

I think I have halogens, def don’t have the four little leds.
However I’m sure on auto the strip doesn’t light up,
It only lights up when I switch it to side lights

...maybe the dlrs are the lower spots on the halogen type light?.....can’t say for sure as my first had xenons and current has LED.

The information below is taken from the 2015 brochure but I think it's still correct.

Daytime running lights.
Daytime running lights are standard on all models. On cars with halogen headlights, this function is implemented by the inner headlight.

Behind a dark car I could see them
In the reflection. Also when I’m dipped beam both the main lights and Drl on

Welcome to the forum.

The SD has been a very popular model, do search out the DPF issues that some owners have suffered from and ensure your drive profile minimises the risk of the dreaded limp home mode.

I've got a Mazda reputed to have DPF problems; drive it like you stole it and you'll be fine IME.

I predominantly do very short journeys.
