Piano roof is great to open around town, sports mode selected and the exhaust noises are so heard better with the roof open.

The V6 petrols are also Porsche versions of a VW engine, all be in fairly heavly modified. Americian Touaregs used the 3.6 petrol.

I just found this on a US site, REDDIT (as I too incorrectly thought that 3.6l in the Turbo was a Porsche engine through and through):

With the Macan diesel Porsche have pretty much dropped an Audi engine straight in. The gas V6s are more customised - they use the Audi V6 block with new heads and a new turbo-charging system.

Think of it as a bit like the top half of a Porsche V8 turbo, stuck on the bottom half on an Audi S4 engine!

and also:

The 3.0L from the macan S is 90% Porsche and 10% Audi/vw parts. The engine is built by Porsche 100%.

;)
Our stable:
- 992 Carrera T - manual - Ruby Star Neo - Carrera Excl. wheels (2023)
- BMW 240i xDrive (G42) - Portimao Blue - AC Schnitzer tune
ex: 981 Cayman GTS, Macan S Diesl, Macan Turbo, 991.2 Carrera S, 718 Cayman GTS, i30 N, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0

That also goes for the vast majority of UK Porsche owners, don't see so many 30 something 911 drivers, most on here only ever take their cars out to pick up their prescriptions 🤒 or pensions 😏😂😂
