Hi forum members am new to the group and just bought a Macan Diesel with many options including air suspension. I can’t seem to find any real world performance figures so actual0-60 and in gear figures so 30-70 mph etc. Can anyone share please as have searched the net but can’t find and apologies if previously asked.

Thanks

Urso

Welcome, Urso. :) For ‘real world’ performance figures that you request, you’re best to search the web for road tests by motoring magazines/journalists where some of them post the actual figures they achieved, as opposed to what Porsche quote in their blurb. ;)

Welcome.

Performance figures from Porsche are conservative.

Btw, do not try to out drag an SQ5, you will come second. There is a Youtube video showing said drag race.

The SD has an OK engine but it was not put in the Macan for performance it was put in to boost the models fuel efficiency.

I had an SD but got rid of it after six months, the engine needs the same power output as the old SQ5 that is 330 bhp.

But for tootling about beliw 70 the SD in Sport mode is pretty enjoyable, Comfort mode sucks since there is to much delay in gear change and a slow engine map.

If you are keen on performance then TDi do a plug in chip that supposedly give another 50-60bhp.

Think this may be the video that Col Lamb is referring to?

Not as big an advantage as the numbers would suggest, but still agree that they could've simply dropped the same output motor into the Macan?

It won't out drag an X4 3 D either, but it seems the only one who really cares is someone who doesn't own an SD now.
