Hi Reading posts here I can see that right now the only option is 2 litre. I have also formed the view (possibly wrongly) that when the 3 litre become available it costs little more (3k?) If I wanted a 3 litre could I order it now. If I did order it now when would it get to the driveway outside my house?

Welcome!
Best person to ask is the dealership - speculation on here would be a last bit of ‘18 build for a Q1 delivery, dependant on how many build slots your chosen dealer has, and where on the wait list you might be. You would be best advised to put a deposit down (refundable) on a 3.0 - ar least then you’ll be on the wait list yourself.

IIRC the price differential between the old 2.0 and 3.0 S was around £3-4K so it made sense to go for the bigger engine for most people. However no one knows what the new 3.0/2.9 models will cost since Porsche have not released prices or specs yet. If you want to know more then best get yourself in front of an SE in your local OPC and get them to send you details once they've got them.

Someone (Dandock?) had a price from his SE for a 3.0 Macan S and it was less than £3k more than a Macan 2.0. :geek:

Wait for the 3 litre - will be a better car all round - performance, similar mpg, and better residuals.

The S will be desirable, but not as much by a country mile as the GTS.

VFM seems high on your list and that translates to the most desirable Macan, the GTS.

Problem is, it will not be available any time soon.

Yes ‘twas I. The 3 litre price will be £2391 more than 2.0. According to my SE. And will be up on the configurator in December. Option prices it is believed will be the same as is currently shown for the 2.0. **

I specced (as near as poss) my current car last evening and it worked out (from memory) about £1500 more than the actual 2016 purchase price!

I’ll go through the process again, properly, and post.

Ed. ** I was also told that technical information relating to the Macan 3.0 will be drip fed in the interim. But i will not be committing until I see what the new engine delivers in terms of power & emissions.

Just hit the config again and compared it to my Dec 2015 order.

For ease rounded to nearest hundred). Then...£58400.... now £59600*

* Inc. nearest equivalent 20” wheels, LEDs as back in the day bi-xenons were extra. Also Nav was a £1K extra!

So... only a £1200 increase over 3 years and that includes significantly better standard features!!!
