A dumb question for someone! - how do you know you actually have Power Steering Plus apart from it being on my itemised invoice? not having driven a Macan without this option I wouldn't know the difference, this feature is not even mentioned in the 'incredible' handbook or in the car (as far as I can see anyway) ? Robbie
No such thing as a dumb question!
It's a software switch that adds more power to the steering rack at low speeds. It dials out as the car reaches 'normal' driving speed.
I like the standard setting, which is nice and firm but requires no great effort in my view. Others prefer much lighter steering at manoeuvring speed and this is what PSP gives you.
It's difficult to answer your question directly, but I guess if you have pretty effortless steering at low speed then you've got it!
I like the steering on my 991.2, even when at very slow parking speed, where some may describe it as heavy-ish. To me, it just feels ‘right’ and authentic for a proper sports car.
When I borrowed a Macan the other day from Swindon OPC, it was obviously fitted with Power Steering Plus, as its steering felt extremely light, artificially so.

Don’t get me started [emoji23]
But guys I don't think we've debated the Power Steering+ option enough Maybe it should have its own thread?
