Why would they spec a car without Nav? Does navigation work poorly in India?
Do people spec high end card differently there due to road and weather conditions eg air suspension is probably a good idea!

If your car has PCM 4.0 but doesn't have CarPlay enabled, it's possible that the feature wasn't included in the original configuration. Whether or not you can enable CarPlay depends on the car's hardware and software capabilities. Here are some steps you can take to explore the possibility of enabling CarPlay:rajivsrihari wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 2:47 am My car has the PCM 4.0 I guess but it doesn't have Carplay. How do I get that enabled? Is that even a possibility? Should I ask this question elsewhere in the forum?
Check car manufacturer's support: Visit the official website of the car manufacturer or refer to the car's manual to see if there are any official upgrades or updates available to enable CarPlay.
Contact the dealership: Reach out to your car dealership and inquire about the possibility of adding CarPlay to your existing PCM 4.0 system. They may have information on available upgrades or options.
Third-party solutions: Some aftermarket car audio specialists might offer solutions to add CarPlay compatibility to certain car models. It's essential to ensure compatibility and reliability before opting for any third-party solutions.
Online forums and communities: You can ask your question on specialized online forums or communities dedicated to your car's make and model. Other car owners or enthusiasts might have experience or knowledge about enabling CarPlay in your specific car model.
Software updates: Check if there are any software updates available for your PCM 4.0 system that might include CarPlay functionality. You can check for updates through the car's infotainment system or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Keep in mind that the availability of CarPlay functionality can vary based on the car's year, model, and region. Additionally, some older car models may not have the hardware required to support CarPlay, even with software updates. It's always best to explore your options with the manufacturer or reputable car audio professionals to determine if CarPlay can be enabled in your car.
