Hello everyone, after lurking around for a while I thought it was about time I participated in this friendly forum.

I have always been interested in cars from childhood and have lost count of the number of cars that I have owned - now on my fifth Porsche.

First was an air-cooled 911 - fantastic, then a 986 Boxster S - never really got on with it, 718 Cayman- too noisy (wrong kind of noise !!), Macan GTS and now Gen 2 Macan 2.0.

A neighbour introduced me to the Macan, he owned a GTS and after a spin down the road I knew I had to have one.

Mine was “gangsta” black, it was a great car and I loved it.
Anyway, it was at the dealership to have the PCM looked at and I was given a Gen 1 2.0 loaner. Never having driven this model before I did not know what to expect. Taking it around my local territory I thought it was much better than I anticipated.

Long story short, I now have a new Gen 2 2.0 with lots of nice options.

Brilliant as the GTS is the only thing I really miss is the 6 cylinder noise - PSE at 6k revs sounds ace, the 2.0 not so much.

On balance I do not get to my destination any slower in the 2.0, probably 4-5 mpg better and it feels “lighter on its feet”.

So that’s me, apologies if post is a bit waffly.

Cheers
Chris
