Morning all - I’ve agreed to buy the OPC demo at Leicester and picking it up on 1st June.

Decent spec, just missing PASM which after driving I’m not that bothered about.

Only thing that I am getting sorted is the chrome surround of the windows. You do wonder who specs these things when they’re ordered. For another £160 you’d of thought that’d have it all gloss black as everything else is.

Other spec of note. Sports Exhaust, full leather, 14 way seats, heated seats & steering wheel, tinted rear lights, vario steering, pano roof, 21 inch spyders, PDLS lights.

On holiday now and can’t wait for it to end as picking car up when hone..

Cheers all [emoji1303]

A Macan on 21” wheels with no PASM is like driving a Beamer on flat run flat tyres.

The ride is abysmal, the handling is vastly compromised.

Walk Away from the car whilst you are still in the cooling off period.

Thanks for you input. But each to their own, having driven it I’m happy with the ride. Coming from a scirocco R with ACC I’m happy. I’ve also driven with and without honestly didn’t feel the difference.

Thanks T4LGO. Seems mad that the OPC didn’t spec these at time of order. Oh well I’ve found someone to vinyl wrap them see how that goes.

Of course these things are in the eye of the beholder but the question is how much of that preference/leaning is based upon what YOUR eyes see and how much is based upon what your reference group prefers? I am old enough to remember when a black vinyl roof was a must have extra. It is now 'fashionable' to have black everything, black paint, black wheels, black windows, black trim. Personally (perhaps because I am old enough to be able to separate what I like from what the crowd likes) I prefer the matt aluminium trim AND if you and I live long enough I am in no doubt that we will look back upon black everything in the same way as we now look back at a black vinyl roof on a canary yellow body.

+1. I am on my third Macan and fifth Porsche and never had PASM. I have driven numerous courtesy/demo Porsche cars with PASM and never felt the need to spec PASM. It’s also noteworthy that many of the demo cars at Porsche dealerships also do not have PASM. When the new facelift Macan was launched the vast majority of cars supplied to dealerships by Porsche did not have PASM fitted. You will be happy with the ride.
