Hi all
Just thought I would introduce my self, I'm James, currently looking for a Macan, going back and fourth with which model to get! I have a Bmw i8 at the moment, but the arrival of a little person has made me think of something more practical, but fun too The Macan seems to tick those boxes. Looking forward to having a search on the forum,
James

Hi James and welcome to our friendly forum.
Congrats on the new arrival and yes, I think the Macan is a great, practical, sporty family car.
Lots of knowledge on here, so feel free to ask questions.
And there’s no such thing as a silly question!

Yes but you will also get a lot of sound advice. Working out which is which is the biggest problem!ScotMac wrote:You may get loads of silly answers thoughWing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 5:32 pm Hi James and welcome to our friendly forum.

Welcome.
Do go and drive a few different Macan variants.
The S is a basic no frills car in standard trim, the GTS has more cosmetic features as standard plus PASM, larger wheels, a specific set of wheels, upgraded engine and gearbox components and a switchable Sports Exhaust, Turbo has more standard features than other variants but no PSE, top of range is Turbo PP which has 40hp more than standard Turbo, the same inclusions but the GTS suspension.
Turbo for me was a no brainer, see my signature for what I included in my config, these added about £10k to the base Turbo cost. OTR it was £74k in Sept 2016 so this will help give you an idea of forecourt prices when you look in detail.

I'm veering towards the Turbo, this one is local to me,
They're going to come back to me with a price for the i8..

Just waiting for the value on the i8 from them now.
Does look a great bit of the kit, doesn't seem that bad of a spec too.
