Brand new 2019 Macan S
Brand new 2019 Macan S Had it for 2 days picked it up last Friday put 103 miles on the clock , warning lights appeared on dash Saturday evening PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DEALER vehicle can be driven . engine shut down into limp mode , it would drive but no acceleration and wouldn't rev above about 1500 rpm . been back at the dealers since Monday of this week , can't find a problem but have ordered me a new part which MIGHT be the issue (which needs to be shipped from Germany which takes 5 days to get here ) suffice to say pretty p§§§§d about it . been told hopefully I will get the car back next Friday .

Told them they have had the car longer than I have and hope they enjoyed banking my £71'000 (less deposit ) I gave them on collection. SE been very apologetic at the end of the day its not his fault. Ive had Audis nearly 20 years NEVER had one issue . thought it was time for a brand change .
Certainly taken the shine away from what should have been a lovely first few days with this car. On the plus side the small amount of time I did drive it , I loved every second absolutely fantastic ride and drive .

Next Friday can't come soo enough

Worrying, very worrying and frankly what's even more worrying this type of post is not the first I've read on this forum. Doubly poor for a marque that sells on the superiority of its engineering

Me too (10 years) and I've just 'given away' my Q5 which never put a foot wrong in 4 years. If I don't get the same reliability from the Macan (at twice the price) I will be writing letters for the next 4 years.

@djkentai, sorry to hear about your experience.

I would talk to the Dealer Principal to see how they will compensate me, e.g. give me the Sales Managers 911 Turbo for the duration of fixing it... they can ride the BASE model!

^^^ Not so sure about the 911 Turbo. My Sales Manager kindly lent me her car on a previous occasion - her company BMW, albeit a 4-Series Convertible. ;)

I don’t even think the Dealership Principal would be swanning around in a 911 Turbo.

Back in 2012 I went to collect a new 981 Boxster and to the dealers embarrassment the car would not start ( simple wiring fault ). The dealer offered me a newly registered demo 911 Turbo to drive the 100 miles home and keep for a few days until my new car was sorted and then trailered to me. A few days after I got my new car delivered it then suffered a fuel pump failure and had to be trailered back again.

Still got my car part hasn't arrived yet from Germany :| :| , hopefully be here on Friday , I will be trying to extract some gesture of goodwill from the dealer . was thinking some free services for the future   , i'll keep you posted on the outcome .

On a separate note the base Macan actually isn't that bad at all , mind you I have only driven it twice , its obviously not as quick as the S model but I guess for a base model Porsche it is certainly an acceptable drive .
