Macan S is 2105 kg, Macan S Diesel is 2120 kg. I doubt you feel the difference of 15 kg.

GTS by the way is 2135 kg, so 15 kg heavier compared to the diesel.
The GTS has more optional extras fitted as standard = more weight - compared to the S.
These values are already the values with maximum extras for both. The weight of Macan Diesel without extras is 1880 kg.

From the official Porsche Macan publication for the 2014-18 MY:
Unladen weight (DIN):
GTS 1895 kg
S 1865 kg
SD 1880 kg

I would suggest that the GTS has 30 kg of additional weight over the S because of its fitted standard equipment e.g.

# Alloys 20" vs 18"
# Fuel tank 65 ltrs vs 60 ltrs
# SportDesign package and Sideskirts on GTS
# PASM on GTS
# GTS Sport seats with 8-way adjustment on each front seat vs just driver's seat on S

Hmm. That has me confused

Maybe the diesel I had as a loaner way back then had something wrong with it/crap tyres as the petrol S and even the 2.0 was a better handling car.

People are forgetting the SD's 21 litres (hence approx 21 Kg) of Adblue - I can certainly feel the effect of that on the handling ;)

Whilst I hope it’s not quite 21kg, I can certainly feel the effect on my own personal handling of last month’s mince pies / turkey sandwiches / xmas pud .......😂

They always say the best upgrade you can make to a car is the driver be it training or diet!!

If the OP is doing 20k a year, then a high mileage Diesel will probably be easier to sell on than a high mileage GTS after a few years?

That is true.
However sometimes you have to think for the now.
A good friend loves full fat Range Rovers with lovely soft leather seats, then puts nylon covers over them so not to mark them come resale...
