Thanks Katie,
Exploring the Porsche dealer and other insurer's offers so should get cover okay.
ALA's gap insurance is very competitive so still looking at that.

Hi Katie, I'm due to pick up a Macan next week and I'm thinking of taking out an ALA RTI policy, do ALA offer a combined alloy and tyre insurance.

Hi RickZ

Thanks for your message and considering ALA for GAP insurance.

I'm very sorry, unfortunately we don't have Alloy and Tyre insurance available at the moment. We are in the process of arranging this with a new underwriter but we don't know how long it might take to finalise. As much as we wouldn't want to have to send you elsewhere, there is normally a time limit of 30 days from taking delivery of your car to buy this type of cover, so you might want to look at alternative suppliers just to make sure you don't miss out on cover.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions at all please let me know.

Thanks,
Katie

Thanks Katie, I've been looking through the FAQs on the ALA website but one obvious question seems to be missing. What happens if I cancel an RTI policy early, do I receive a pro rata refund and will an admin fee be deducted from a refund....

Hi RickZ

That's no problem at all - thanks for spotting that, we'll definitely need to add that question if it's missing!

If you buy a GAP policy with us and change or sell your car early we will daily pro rata the original policy premium and use that as a credit against a new policy - there is no fee charged to do this but there may a balance to pay for the new policy.

Alternatively, if you don't need a new policy from us for the new car, we will daily pro rata the original premium and provide you with a refund, which would be subject to a £35.00 cancellation fee.

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let me know :D

Thanks,
Katie
