Have you looked on eBay for genuine Porsche roof bars? I've just won an auction for a set and they weren't much more than the Thule kit. Because they're vehicle specific they are much easier to fit than the generic Thule bars, which I find a bit of a faff. Also don't have the bars protruding past the roof to catch your head on!
