Thanks for your thoughts - I’m certainly not against smaller wheels but in discussions with the sales exec at Porsche he said I could only go down one size (i.e. 21 to 20) which I confess I didn’t question at the time. I understand there’s a setting to tell the car the wheel size, could anyone confirm whether this option lists all possible wheel sizes?

Thanks
All options are present on mine. Another point is that the narrower width of the 18 and 19 sets over the 20s and 21s are best suited to winter for wet and snow performance

Good sets of winter wheels and tyres do come up for sale on the Bay of thieves, ie I bought a set of mint genuine 18” Macan S wheels with Pirelli Scorpion winter tyres on all with 7mm + on them for £425. Yes I did check out the Provence of them, all good so I bought them, as the seller was within 50 miles of me and I could collect. However getting a set in the Macan is a bit like playing Jenga, even more difficult was getting the 21” set in the Macan when I had them swapped over.

Yes all wheel sizes are shown in the gauge.

18" will fit with no problems and give you great snow / ice performance.

From PGK app...snow chain use in last column

I’m running 18” in the winter. 21’s for summer. On my GTS you have to tell it they are 19” because 18 not listed.

That’s weird because 18” are listed on my S. So it must be different on a GTS

Note that SAC1's post says '18" tyres not for brake systems with callipers painted red'. The GTS has larger brakes than the S which is why 18" is not listed in the MFD on pre facelift cars. Also, 18" winter tyres are not approved for the pre facelift GTS. So there is an inconsistency here if 18" is listed in the MFD on MY21 GTS's. If I were you I'd do some thorough checks before you go for !8" on your car. Even though they may physically fit, if not approved they would be classed as an unauthorised modification which would fail an MoT but more importantly would invalidate your insurance and warranty.

A quick check on the Tequipment site shows that the 18" winter and tyre combination is only listed for the Macan and S variants, for the GTS it's 19 or 20 only.

Many thanks Nick, that's very valuable info, and has orientated me towards 19s to play it safe now - it's been a journey...

Just checked my GTS' instrument display and yes Nick is correct. 19" winter is the smallest. I was going off my memory from my SD re the 18".
