Hi All,

Having only owned my Macan S for 18 months, the time has come to sell already due an ever growing family. Absolutely love the car, but we now need a 7 seater; hence the Macan needing to go.

I bought the car brand new from Porsche Reading in Oct 2019, and it's on a 69 plate.

The car is in immaculate condition and the alloys don't have a single mark on them. Due to lockdown, we've covered just 7,000 miles in the car.

It's also had it's first service at Porsche Brooklands in Oct last year.

Thanks
Nick

My 2020 model Macan S had its first oil change service at 12 months from new, as this is what was indicated under the ‘Service 1’ in the instrument cluster.

Jaffacake, under the GEN 2 models the period to 1st oil service is driven by a sensor on the cleanliness of the oil. if the car does few long journeys it can be very low. if the car doe s a lot of long journeys it can be as high as 20 k with a two-year time limit. Mine was still showing 5000 to oil service when at 14000 miles it hit two years old for first service check, oil and brake fluid change

Yes, quite aware of the oil change sensor on the Audi engines, but the claim is that this car had its first service after 12 months.

An oil change is not an inspection service - it's just an oil change. If the Audi sensor tells you to change the oil early, you are somewhat obliged to do so, but you aren't obliged to pay for an interim service which isn't due until 2yrs/20k miles.

So my questions are:

Did this car have a service at 12mths or just an oil change?
If it had a service, why?

Perhaps, but the fact remains this car may be due its first (interim) service in Oct 2021. Or it may have had that service unnecessarily early and be due another interim in October 2022.

Either way the major service will be due in October 2023.

Maybe i'm using generic terminology. It had it first oil change then.... Service light came on, i booked it in.. Porsche relieved me of an excessive amount of money to change some oil.
