Be interested to know what WBAC would offer for the Gen 3 when they start to arrive. I might be tempted as a situation like this doesn't happen very often
To sell or not (dilemma)

I have put the car on Autotrader. I have had several offers from dealers/traders but none from private buyers which (based on my life experience of selling my car on Autotrader) is unusual; is that unusual?

I suspect its a sign of the times, and how difficult it is to get hold of pre-loved cars. Dealers are probably desperate for stock.Fairynuff wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 11:47 am I have put the car on Autotrader. I'm sure you'll attract plenty of traders, no doubt wanting a bargain ! Private buyers at that price level are more likely to be looking for a finance package and assurance of buying from a retailer, even if they are saving several thousands by buying a much loved, little used, warranted car from you.
You could try a free quote on motorway, they'll give an initial estimate and if you do continue after that the vehicle goes into a daily bidding war - no commitment, you see the best bid and decide whether you want to sell at that or not. They generally realise several thousands more than we buy any car offer

My friend just had her Renault Kadjar, or whatever its called, priced by Motorway and it is £5k more than WBAC quoted 3 months ago!
That’s a big spec and a good price, if you look at OPC with Macan S under15000 miles the price range starts from £58 to £68k. Although as already said it’s a big number for most private buyer purchases, you just need the right buyer to turn up. Some may not be aware that it is still covered by original warranty? Plus sorry to say your no David Bailey shouldn't be a problem for anyone that knows the model though. Personally if you don’t get a bite would still put on trader sites, load some decent photos and detail and let dealers bid. Nothing to lose and safer than the private route with no tyre kickers. Good luckFairynuff wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 11:47 am I have put the car on Autotrader.
