The Macan was purchased after three test drives, and chosen over the others on the (diverse) shortlist because it drove well and felt very familiar as it shares much of the controls (dial pack, stalks, general operating logic) with the Cayman I know so well. I can overlook some of the minor niggles, but for me what really hasn't worked is the sheer baulk of the car and elevated driving position. I've never owned an SUV before, or driven one for more than a day. I really haven't taken to it, hence me saying it just isn't my cup tea. It's a reluctant decision to let the car go as its so good.

Sorry to hear that - I guess if you just don’t gell with the car it makes sense to move on to something that you will enjoy more.

Sorry you have not gelled with the Macan.

Odd that you have had a string of GTi cars, I had one as a loaner, an R and I did not gell at all with quality of the finish.

After three SUV’s I would not want any car with a low seating position.

Good job we are all different.

In my career i saw lots of Astons, Bentleys etc, porsche is the only ‘mass’ manufacturer that comes close!

+1 on that. The engine to my bucket list V8V gave way big time, at 15k miles. Never ever have an Aston without a Timeless warranty unless you are a serious gambler. God only knows how much it cost to replace it.
