If it’s a wet (spray on dressing) yes the cover will pick it up but it doesn’t transfer to the car. Better to use a gel dressing and wipe off any excess after application. Plus, get a black cover

I would not dress the tyres before putting the cover on, after all who will know whether they are or aren't. Better to just wash and dry the wheels before putting it on then no risk of marking the cover. Dress them only before going out on the road.
