Facelift version affect on current prices

With the new facelift version of the Macan due in the not too distant future, just curious as to what people think will happen to prices of the current version.

Usually older versions go down but the Macan is not your standard family car.

The VED increase could go some way to counteracting the 'normal' post facelift value movements.

I haven't seen any facelift pics or specs though so I guess it also depends on how much change there is.

if it's like the usual Porsche facelifts, unless you see the two cars side by side you'll be hard pushed to tell the difference

A midlife facelift shouldn't have a huge effect on resale values. It's when a manufacturer changes the model completely and starts discounting the old model. Also bringing out special editions, like the platinum edition on the Cayenne at the end of a models life cycle. That's when resale values are hit hard.

I don't think there will be much of a price reduction for current models. Again those who purchased prior to VED and price rises have already had huge savings.

Like most I am thoroughly enjoying what I have and brings a smile everyday.

+1. By getting mine before price rise and car tax rise (I hope!) I have "saved" nearly £3,700 and some Macaneers may be looking at similar "savings".

But then in five years time it will be the one not to buy as road tax will be £200+ and a April 17 will be £140. I would imagine that will have a slight downward effect on the value of our high tax cars.

Doubt it will have much effect as the changes are hard to discern, and very happy with mine as it looks great. However do like the new Panamera Sport Turisimo Hybrid as got to do something about fuel consumption which on my Macan S (MacAngus) is 23mpg however I drive it.
