Hi,
New to forum, thinking of getting a Turbo or PP, not too worried about spec but must haves Air Sus, heated seats, roof rails, rear camera. Needs to be Grey, Black, Silver. Great extras PAS cruise and tow hitch.
66 plate or 2017 with Porsche warranty.
Alltalk.
Looking for. Turbo or PP

Welcome, alltalk!
Presumably you've checked out Porsche Approved, Autotrader and Pistonheads?

Yes - struggling to find right combination of spec/price - thought there maybe someone on the forum who I could give a better price than trade-in.
Also. Looking at Personal contract hire the turbo looks very expensive compared to other cars at same price point. Take a top spec Velar (I know,!!) it’s 70k which is about same as turbo (with light options). Can get velar for 825 per month, turbo is close to 1k. As this is total cost of ownership suggests residuals not as strong as I’d expect. .... discuss ...

PCP rates are a good guide to depreciation for cars which are easy to come by.
I wonder if for cars like Turbo / PP the fact that are not so easy to come by means that car finance companies feel that they can charge extra.
Price a supplier will charge for a product is based on much more than the production cost of that product, as a quick glance at the cost of Porsche options will confirm!

Thanks, I wasn’t looking to use Porsche finance for the reasons you state, I was using the contract hire number as a guide to likely depreciation as that is a significant part of the cost, the other variables being cost to buy (which is where discounts come in), leasing margin, and cost of finance. Im ok to do anything from cash to pcp to contract hire. Bottom line when i get a trade in price on a turbo after 3yrs what will I get ... with options I’m at about 69k list new.

Maybe selling for £45k to £50k as a guess, if mileage not too high, having just looked at 2014 Turbos on Autotrader... Knock another £5k off for the trade in offfer from your OPC, being the minimum margin they'd be looking to make.
