Unless your Arif 👌, you shouldn't be alarmed at the level of drop in value, most are considered to be doing well if plus 50% after three years and the first year is the most crippling. For what it's worth IMHO if you enter into Porsche world your looking at app £12-17k fall per year at trade in with the OPC then moving on with least plus £7k including Porsche warranty. There are only two other places to lose money quicker, that's horses and boats! There is a third but my wife won't let me name them 😊

Mike, I would certainly be losing sleep at that level of depreciation. I think I've said this before - I've spent about 10k in total (everything but fuel included in that figure) over the last three years driving 6 Porsches.

Hi Arif, yes I see that and with your latest purchases you are definitely going to be the right side of vehicle appreciation, although to be honest that is pretty unique on this site and I for one cannot compare. What I have done in the last three years is driven Porsche cars for around 45000miles 😄 It's cost me, but what price pleasure 😉

Hi Dave

Glad that you found a buyer for your Turbo.

911 GTS Cabriolet sounds exciting! Please feel free to share pics & your first impressions!

Sadly (other than Arif) most of us have lost money on our trade ins. But as Mike says, what price pleasure? :) You only live once, Mr Bond! ;)

1. I traded in my Macan 2.0 after one month! Idiot! OPC sold it same day at list, as had only done 1k miles, but I suffered the 'dealer premium'. :(
2. I ran my 991.1 C2 (Porsche Approved used car) for 8 months and covered 11k very happy miles, so don't begrudge the depreciation suffered on that one.
3. My 2017 Panamera 4 will have covered 17k to 18k miles in its first year. I was offered a trade in of £10k below its original list price, with which I was very happy. This has subsequently been 'adjusted' by a further £2k to cover new tyres all around, respray for the bonnet & front bumper, and a new headlight unit, as OPC looking to sell it in 'as new' condition (apart from the mileage!).

Overall, I'm happy with where I'm at and currently looking forward to (hopefully) picking up my new Carrera T next Friday...! :D

Yes, I think you've mentioned that before, Arif. Once or twice... ;)

Don’t forget to post lots of pics on Friday. All this talk of 911s is dangerous. Must stop playing on the configurator. Keep looking at a basic 991 Carerra PDK which lists at just under £82k with a few options.
