Due to a change of plans in respect of a property purchase this new car order "might" be available if you are quick/decisive.

At the moment it is 100% spec changeable for another 7 days from today - so the freeze date is the 25th February - as it is a February 2019 build car. It will be for delivery in the last week of March 2019 from the supplying Porsche Centre.

Please only contact me if this opportunity is exactly what you want and you want to take over the order. Also this car would not be subject to any potential 10% hike in import duties as it was ordered before 17th January.

Thanks for looking.

Haven't March deliveries of the new Macan S model been put back to late April/May now ? I have been told that my estimated delivery of late March has been put back by 30 days (so I expect that will mean May) My nearest OPC have had my deposit of £3,000 for more than a year now (early Feb. '18).

I can't comment on your own dealer and their allocations for your new car order but the dates I have shared here are correct. If you wanted, you could easily swap your refundable deposit from the prior order and onto this new Macan build slot to ensure you have it when you want it.

Has the lockdown period been changed? Prior to now it has been six weeks before build date. After that the spec could possibly be changed but, depending on the change/s the build date would be likely to move back as a result, making it almost impossible to build the car in February.

My lockdown date is 9 weeks before the delivery date . . . are these dates fixed by the OPC or the factory?

The timing between lockdown and build depends on a number of manufacturing time scales and time of the year. This year is somewhat unique following the RDE shut down of 2018 and the spectre of Brexit on the horizon.

Ordinarily it is/was 6-7 weeks between the freeze point and build week.

The factory. The key date in the planning process is CP08, when the completed car enters the factory compound prior to transport to the port of Emden. The transport process can, and will, impact the delivery date to the OPC, hence a degree of uncertainty as to when your car will arrive.
