What additional insurance premium does fitting on of these attract?

Does it work with Sport Chrono across all 3 drive modes?

Do you still have this for sale?

I had an interesting chat with Iain Litchfield of Litchfield Motors the other day. He runs a highly successful business that tunes and modifies all sorts of cars. Nissan GT-Rs are their speciality, but they do lots of others including BMWs, Porsches and Ferraris. We were discussing my Carrera T and Iain said that basically with a car like the 911, the manufacturer develops the car to its greatest potential (think GT cars) and then dials it back for the more ‘mundane’ models. The good news is that it makes it relatively easy for specialists like him to unlock much more potential from a car, compared to how it’s released from the showroom.

If only he (Iain Litchfield) returned calls, WingCo, he'd probably sell a few more of those 'unlocking potential' devices...

I have found them (Litchfield) good at replying promptly to emails. I have the email addresses on my work computer and can happily forward them to you on Monday?

Cheers,

Thanks WingCo - I have that too, and I've spoken, but not had the promised return call. Just the luck of the draw, I guess, but sometimes that's enough to change the dynamic and for a planned purchase to be put on hold. I'm interested in a Cobb Accessport - an easy sell I would have thought.

To be fair, I may drop-in and see if a face-to-face produces a better response.

Hi James,

Sorry to hear that you’ve had less than top notch customer service. I’ve found them to be great. They made a minor error/omission with the tweaks on my car, but rectified it in such a way as to keep the client well & truly onboard.

Hope you manage to do business successfully with them.

Cheers,

Different companies react differently. In my experience, Direct Line refused to insure it but, if I recall correctly, NFU Mutual charged about £130 p.a. extra compared to the standard premium.

Buy it Tony, I have one and it transfomed the car, I get 50mpg on a slow M way run and avarage 43 overall, I seldom see under 40 unless I'm just going to the shops.

James
James' hugely positive experience is very similar to mine.
