Fair point about warranty but most sellers won’t see past the price and private sale. I also don’t know you or live with you so any assertions as to how it has been driven and where will be taken with a large pinch of salt.

An OPC will offer PX and finance which many want.

I would actually prefer to buy privately so I can meet the owner but mainly because sensible sellers price between dealer bid and dealer sticker so you can save 3-4K

Pricing a private sale above OPC is a strange tactic but your prerogative, lucky you are not in a hurry I guess.

Good luck

Thanks Adam, point taken but as you say, when you buy private and meet the owner at his home you get a good idea of the type of person he is and how he looks after his cars.
Maybe after reading a few posts on here I am being a bit to optimistic on price but would certainly be open to sensible offers.

this is where the market is for a good low mileage private sale IMHO

I would be very interested in that one but the other half won't countenance a red car

lots of OPC cars at 58-62 depending on miles

I love the red but it never ceases to amaze me how lazy some sellers are... 4 photos advertising a 50 grand car

It’s 2 years old... I would be happy to sell mine for that money next year if you are interested?

Interesting thread in respect of price. This morning I have effectively been offered £42k for my Mar 17 GTS with 7800 miles against a £106k 992. When I looked at trading the GTS in Dec against a new Macan S I was offered £50k. If Porsche is the best make for depreciation at around £1000+ a month heaven help the other makes.......

^^^ Blimey! £50k in Dec versus £42k in May = losing about £1,600 a month over the last five months! :o

Probably more re a reflection of a) there is a new model on the street and b) OPCs need to inflate their margins more as volumes are down.

IMO you would achieve a significantly better price from an independent or private sale as £42k is below rock bottom

😱
Autotrader currently shows my 16 / 66 25000 mile GTS as a £43 K ish p/x or a £47 K ish private sale so unless you’re getting a good wedge off the 911 then the dealer is taking the p1ss....!
